Anacortes Brewery

The Anacortes Brewery was established in 1994 and is the 8th oldest continuously operating brewery in the state of Washington. They brew over thirty styles annually, and after all these years in the business, they take pride in still being an innovator. Their brewers focus on high quality ingredients, a carefully controlled process and delicate handling to provide one of the best beers you will find in the industry.
The Anacortes Brewery operates a seven barrel brewery designed and installed by Sound Brewing Systems of Seattle with vessels fabricated by Ripley Stainless in British Columbia.
Besides many unique specialty ales, the brewery features a cold room designed specifically for lagering, a process that provides beers with a traditional character and complexity.

Beer Descriptions
NOW POURING AT THE ROCKFISH GRILL!
Original IPA (ABV 6.9% / IBU 80) Our classic northwest style IPA has a good hop character supported with a sturdy backbone. Columbus, Cascade & Simcoe are dry-hopped in the fermenter producing moderate citrus and stone fruit aroma yielding to bold, prolonged hop flavor and bitterness.
Deception Pass Pale Ale (ABV 4.7% / IBU 45) A refreshing ale made with 2 row and Munich malts, Mosaic hop in the boil and dry hopped with Simcoe. New recipe for a popular favorite!
Arts Festival Amber (ABV 5.5% / IBU 40) The official beer of the Anacortes Arts Festival, this elegant northwest-style Amber Ale is medium bodied with a subtle malty character. Columbus & Cascade hops provide a crisp balance.
Peppercorn Saison (ABV 6.3% / IBU 15) The most quaffable of our Belgian beers, we add four different types of peppercorns (black, green, pink and white) to give our traditional Saison a savory flavor that compliments it’s dry finish.
Darkside IPA ( ABV 7.3 % / IBU 70 ) This Beer is brewed with Great Western 2-row White Wheat, Munich, and a heathy amount of chocolate malt for that dark color and flavor. Hopped with generous amounts of both Centennial and Amarillo hops.
March Point Porter (ABV 5% / IBU 35) A rich, dark ale named for the northeastern peninsula of our island, this beer features complex flavor from 4 malts and Perle & Cascade hops. Chocolate malt dominates taste and color in this otherwise balanced brew.
Whistle Lake Weizen (ABV 4.7% / IBU 18) Our award-winning Hefeweizen has a cloudy golden color and a full, fruity aroma. Bavarian yeast produces striking banana & clove. This summertime favorite is light-bodied with mild tartness finishing relatively dry – the perfect thirst quencher!
1776: This Year in Beer Series (ABV 8.2% / IBU 100) The Anacortes Brewery celebrates our nation’s 250th birthday with this double IPA featuring Equanot, Citra and Idaho 7 hop varieties and a sturdy malt backbone from 2 row and dark Munich. Celebrate the pursuit of hoppiness the way our forefather’s intended!
Knucklehead Red (ABV 4.5% / IBU 20) Named after 92.9 KISM radio’s popular “9:30 Knucklehead” show, this session beer uses just a touch of caramel malt for color and body. It’s lightly hopped for balance and lower alcohol so you can have a couple without becoming a knucklehead!
Fidalgo SMASH (5.7% ABV / 28 IBU) This single malt and single hop (SMASH) beer is brewed with North Dakota War Hammer Pale malt and hopped with Amarillo. Visit Fidalgo Island and SMASH a pint or two!
Highway to Helles (ABV 5.7% / IBU 18) Our Helles Lager is a tribute to the North Cascades Highway that runs through Anacortes. Highly drinkable and well-balanced, this refreshing session beer is brewed in the traditional German style, slightly malt forward with restrained bitterness from Crystal & Perle hops, finishing soft and dry.
Day of the Dead Mexican Lager (ABV 4.5 % / IBU 14) This beer is made with 2-row pilsner malt and flaked maize for a nice light body. Hopped with Tett and Perle for balance this is a nice easy drinker perfect for the change in the weather.
Sunrise IPA (ABV 6.1% / IBU 60) This bright modern style IPA is augmented with Lupulin powder packing a juicy citrus aroma. Skagit Valley malt, Vienna malt and oats combine for a medium mouth feel. Late addition Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic hops add a bold, crisp finish.
