Low-Pass Trio
The Low-Pass Trio is a new project featuring three of Seattle’s top up-and-coming musicians. Their music blends funk, jazz, hip-hop, and rock and features both original music and unique arrangements of popular covers. As a band, the Low-Pass Trio strives for colorful improvisation, captivating performances, and creating a fun, engaging atmosphere for their audience.
Leading the band is Jack Gravalis, a guitarist, songwriter, arranger, and film/video game composer. His work spans a multitude of genres, and his guitar influences range from Wes Montgomery, to Jimi Hendrix, to more modern players such as Kurt Rosenwinkel and Reinier Baas.
Playing bass is Cedric Paul, who is quickly becoming known as Seattle’s one-man rhythm section. A virtuoso on piano, drums, and bass, Cedric has been making waves in the Seattle music scene both as a bandleader and as the musical director of the Teen Summer Musical program.
Joe Simpson is indisputably one of the best drummers Seattle has to offer. He has toured the country with such artists as Dave B, Sam Lachow, and Romaro Franceswa, and has played many high profile gigs including the Upstream Music Festival.
