C.A. Clayton, former owner Telluride Jazz Fest: “Mary Ellen Lykins is one of those vocalists who give you goosebumps! … add to that the tight music arrangements and hot saxophone and it’s amazing all around…”

Janice Cleven Gage, Wa. Blues Society Music Director: “The group makes it impossible to stay in your seat… unless you’re mesmerized by the incredible vocals of Mary Ellen Lykins.”

Janette West has been working up and down the West Coast for over 5 decades fronting R&B, smooth-jazz and big band outfits. Never though has West been better served than with the dynamic quartet she and husband drummer Marty Tuttle have currently assembled. Janette’s voice and style is a rich composite of dynamic jazz improvisation with the plush warmth of soulful R&B influences. Early career highlights include opening for Jimi Hendrix and Tina Turner, writing and performing radio jingles, and performing in hundreds of venues as an R&B and Jazz performer.

Janette earned a choice write up in Jazztimes magazine by national music critic Christopher Loudon who wrote; “West is a first-rate swinger, comparable in style and gusto to Ernestine Anderson, though the warmth of her ballads is more reminiscent of Natalie Cole. Carol Banks Weber of AXS writes; “All audiences notice is West’s easy way with the lyrics, the music and with them, the rich, lustrous undertones of an alto that can wrap around any song -Jazz standard, R&B, Latin- and make it swing.”

A solo singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer/arranger, and entertainer, Michael Dayvid is the world’s premiere Adventure Folk artist. He has been producing and performing original and cover music for 20 years, ranging in style from jazz to folk, blues to classic rock, opera to show tunes, Top 40 to the 1940s and back. He is also gaining recognition for his incredible freestyle songwriting, creating new music from scratch based on audience suggestions.

Michael has independently released 3 EP recordings, including his new 2019 EP on indie label Mercury Sky Records. His debut “First Takes” (2010) was recorded in one take only. His sophomore release “Tea & Secrets” (2016) was recorded and co-produced by Dominic Romano. In October 2019, thanks to Mercury Sky, Michael released an epic Cinematic Rock EP “Solveig’s Shadow” (2019), featuring massive orchestrations that bring his original music soaring into life.

Michael has also collaborated with studio bands in a variety of genres, performing vocals, rhythm and lead guitars, keyboards, wind instruments, or composing string arrangements, lyrics, and more. Until 2022, he performed and recorded with Alternative Celtic Folk band The Gatehouse Well.

Michael is currently based in Bellingham, Washington. He performs constantly throughout Washington’s Whatcom and Skagit Counties.

Anacortes based Ebb, Slack and Flood fills the room with chemistry that is obvious and addictive. The band is led by PNW native, Tom Savage, on guitar, harmonica, organ and vocals, raised on blues and jazz with influences like Freddie King, Django Reinhardt and The Meters. Filling out the quartet are drummer Chris Nickerson and bassist Giovanni De La Rosa bringing the right mix of latin, reggae and hip hop, and Jared Summerville on sax adding the sizzle and the funk. Together, they create a fusion of sounds, easy to listen and hard not to dance to.

“From the initial bass line to the pounding drums, you instantly know the vibe of seeing and hearing Ebb Slack and Flood. Well thought out songs with consistent structure, solid vocals and a fun feeling that turns a rock show into a party. And then you ask yourself, “how do 4 guys make THAT sound?” That’s the best part!” – Scott Less, KISM Radio
