MARK RILEY and DEAN REICHERT

Mark Riley is a master guitarist, musicologist and true lover of songs quintessentially American. Besides his own projects, he has appeared with countless other acts including the Seattle Women in Rhythm and Blues, The Olsen Brothers, Merilee Rush and Little Bill and the Blue Notes. He remains a collaborator at heart, and his ability to deftly translate the emotion of a song through his guitar and voice continually garner Mark awards and requests to join forces. He is joined for his Rockfish performance by another great guitarist, Dean Reichert.

STILLY RIVER BAND

STILLY RIVER BAND

Performing together for decades, the Stilly River Band delivers an exciting range of music, from bluegrass to progressive folk, Latin, Irish, rock and rhythm 'n blues. Their bluegrass arrangement of Sam & Dave's soul classic, Hold On, I'm Comin' will put a smile on your face for the rest of the day.

Known by some as “the bad boys of bluegrass”, the Stillys play and eclectic mix of music from traditional bluegrass to other less conventional styles played in a bluegrass format that the band labels “rude grass.”

The band features John Amber-Oliver on lead vocals and guitar, Jonathon Schneider on tenor harmonies and banjo, Stuart Torgeson on dobro and accordion, John Daugherty on vocals and stand up bass, Steve Stolpe on vocals and mandolin and Mike Schway on fiddle.

The Stilly River Band delivers accomplished musicianship, excellent vocal harmony and an always entertaining and unpredictable show. Looking for a cross between Earl Scruggs and the Tempations? These are your guys!

THE GINGER UPS

THE GINGER UPS

The new original music of long-time partners and co-songwriters Jennifer Spector & Dave Tieman draws inspiration from their favorites: 50's Jazz, 60's cocktail culture, 70's classic tunesmiths, 80's Pop and 90's modern folk. They are crafting songs that are both fresh & timeless featuring David's exceptional musicianship on guitar/bass, Jennifer's emotive & unique vocals and their distinctive harmonies together. But here's a little more background...

Jennifer Spector and husband David Tieman moved to the Puget Sound area in 2006 to begin taking the Northwest by storm. Jennifer was one of Phoenix, AZ's most popular folk musicians and David was a highly respected jazz musician & fellow acoustic composer. Performing as the power duo, "The Hayburners", they released their self-titled CD in June 2008 featuring guest artists Mike Smith, pedal steel (Gatlin Brothers) and Zak Borden, mandolin (Grammy Nominated Kate MacKenzie, Rachel Harrington) Nova Karina Devonie, accordion (Sugar Hill Records) among others.

Soon after the move, Jennifer Spector received her first songwriting award in her new home state of Washington at the Tumbleweed Music Festival in Richland, WA. She had already been a national finalist at the 2004 prestigious Telluride Bluegrass Festivals' Troubadour Competition for songwriting and twice at the Tucson Folk Festival's national honors. She has shared the stage with folk-greats David Wilcox and Christine Lavin and toured regularly around the Southwest.

Besides being recognized as a great songwriter himself, David Tieman's guitar playing was high in demand live and in the studio around the Phoenix Valley and now in Washington State. In their 2008 release, his song "Bluegrass Band" made it all the way to #19 on the National Folk Radio DJ list! He performed regularly with the SOS (Sounds of Swing) Big Band of Bellevue, WA and on occasion with multiple jazz/rock groups in and around the Puget Sound area.
